01.03.2019: Wittenberge depot as a servicing point
In the past few days, two steam locomotives have visited Wittenberge depot to take on coal and water and to berth some historic passenger coaches here for a few days when they were not in use between working railtours. On Monday, February 25, steam loco 03 2155 of the company WFL came to visit the premises of the historic locoshed to replenish her water supply and some three hours later, left the yard to steam off towards Berlin. She also left three passenger cars of type Bghw stabled here, which were to work a special train on March 2 from Hamburg to Wernigerode. These carriages were collected on March 1 by 35 1097 and our colleagues from Glauchau, and the empty coaches to Hamburg were piloted by diesel loco 118 770.
