28.02.2018: Emma's overhaul making good progress

The general overhaul of our small steam locomotive Emma is making good progress. The axle bearings have now been overhauled and the axles reinstalled, so she can stand on her own wheels again. In addition, the boiler has been completely retubed. The preparation of the fittings in the driver's cab is also progressing well. The steam manifold and the injector pumps have been refurbished and refitted, as have the gauge glasses. We are confident that the locomotive will be under steam again at the first steam locomotive festival in Wittenberge on the first weekend in May.
