08.05.2024: Review of our anniversary event 30 years DLFS e.V.

Exhausted but overjoyed, we look back on the past weekend. It was certainly a top event in every respect, not only for us but also for our visitors. Saturday was the day of records. In perfect weather, a good 1,700 people from near and far visited us, more than ever before in one day. This was probably due to the fact that we also had a superlative range of exhibits to offer, many of which could be demonstrated in operation. In addition to our own vehicles, there were four steam locomotives, three diesel locomotives, an electric locomotive and two railcars to marvel at.
We are very grateful that everything worked out so well. The only downer was the failure of our steam locomotive 50 3570, which unfortunately suffered boiler damage on Friday and could not be repaired so quickly. But the presence of the guest vehicles in particular more than made up for this failure. We are grateful for the support that made this event possible in the first place.
Once again, we would like to thank all the other donors who supported us with money or equipment/vehicles. You have played a major role in the success of the event and in establishing the region as a worthwhile destination for visitors. On behalf of everyone who contributed to the success of the event, we would like to thank our colleagues from the Pressnitz Valley Railway, the Faszination Dampf e.V. team, the Lok-Ost company and our colleagues from the Arnstadt club, some of whom spent months preparing their historic vehicles for the long journey from Thuringia to Brandenburg. Thanks to the team from Hafenbahn Neustrelitz e.V., who visited us with a special
special train and supported us on the harbor railway trips.

We believe that the event will remain a positive memory for us, our fellow campaigners and our guests for a long time to come. Here is a small selection of pictures:
